I am Angie Carnes, the voice and passionate heart behind Rush Less Play More., I am thrilled that you are here and can't wait to help you along your play journey!
My hope is, as you scroll through my course and coaching offerings, you find the perfect fit for you.
It is impossible to please everyone, but I do my absolute best to provide trainings that meet providers where they are with their understanding and application of a child-led, play based curriculum.
Trainings
In my quest to create a program full of play, learning, nature, and moments children would remember for a lifetime, I discovered that play based learning is a must for all early childhood environments and am now an advocate for rushing less and playing more!
I am excited to use my experience and B.S. in Education with an emphasis in ECE to help early childhood educators find play, settle in, and enjoy the journey through a variety of hands on in-person and online training.
I am currently offering monthyly in-person trainings in my own child care program. I believe it is important for providers to be able to see the ideas in action and discuss how they work in my program.

In-Person First Aid & CPR/AED
The HSI First Aid & CPR/AED course provides comprehensive training in essential life-saving skills, empowering participants to respond effectively to a variety of medical emergencies. This course combines first aid knowledge with CPR and AED training to prepare participants to assist in situations ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.
Key Topics Covered:
- Basic first aid principles and scene assessment
- Responding to common injuries (e.g., bleeding, burns, fractures)
- Managing medical emergencies (e.g., strokes, heart attacks, seizures)
- Adult, child, and infant CPR techniques
- Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Choking relief procedures
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for workplace responders, educators, childcare providers, community members, and anyone seeking to gain confidence and skills in emergency care. No prior experience is required.
Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will receive an HSI First Aid & CPR/AED certification, valid for two years.

Blended First Aid & CPR/AED
The blended HSI First Aid & CPR/AED course combines the convenience of online learning with the hands-on practice of an in-person skills session. This comprehensive training equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies, including performing CPR, using an AED, and providing first aid for common injuries and illnesses.
Key Features:
Online Portion: Self-paced learning covering essential first aid, CPR, and AED skills through interactive videos and quizzes.
Skills Session: In-person, hands-on practice and evaluation with a certified instructor to demonstrate proficiency in life-saving techniques.
